The United Nations Development Programme/Programme of Assistance to the Palestinian People has contributed resources toward the implementation of national activities of the PRF including continuing education in English, computer software, sport management, and sport science, the hosting of the First Palestinian Indoor Rowing Championship, the purchase of sport apparel for all programme participants, and some other miscellaneous operating costs associated with these activities.

UNDP/PAPP's TOKTEN ( Transfer of Knowledge through Expatriate Nationals) Programme has contributed to the development of the PRF by covering the expenses for three months of an expatriate, Palestinian, volunteer consultant in rowing and sport management. The role of TOKTEN and the efforts of volunteers worldwide has been a central element in the development process of the PRF.

The International Rowing Federation is the world's governing body of the sport of rowing. FISA has been enthusiastic and supportive from the outset regarding the development of rowing in the Gaza Strip and the growth of the PRF and has contributed in particular with a subsidy toward the purchase of the PRF's first shipment of boats through FISA's "rowing in a Box" programme. All of the PRF's coaches are also enrolled in the FISA "Be a Coach - Level 1" e-learning programme.

The Palestine Olympic Committee has been supportive from the outset of the development of a Palestinian rowing federation and in particular has endorsed a variety of development efforts with OS in behalf of the federation to ensure the sustainability of the federation's development efforts. The PRF cooperates with the POC on all matters pertaining to the participation of its athletes in the Olympic Games and on the eligibility of its expatriate athletes.

Olympic Solidarity supported the PRF's development efforts through a MEMOS study scholarship approved by the POC that was used to articulate the development strategy of the PRF in a project document entitled "Toward a Sustainable Palestinian Rowing Federation: Sport as a Tool for Development". OS has also allocaled resoursces to the PRF in coopration with the POC to cover the training and accomadation of four coaches two months in Seville, Spain to assist in the sustainable development of the PRF's national coaching structure .

Deutscher Ruderverband has supported the PRF through joint training opportunities and facilitating of transport of athletes and equipment to Junior World Championships.

Boosbau Berlin of Berlin, Germany has supported the international racing presence of the PRF by providing racing equipment and transport to the 2002 and 2003 FISA Junior World Rowing Championships in Trakai, Lithuania and Schinias Greece, respectively.

Turbo Design of Ramallah, Palestine has supported the PRF through the publication of feature articles in its monthly publication "This Week in Palestine" and with design services, including the revision of the PRF logo, the development of its stationery, and the design of the poster for the First Palestinian Indoor Rowing Championship.

Concept2 contributed a variety of rowing paraphernalia for the children in the programme and has also gone to great lengths to facilitate the passage of spare parts and other equipment across difficult borders.

Al Ayyam newspaper has contributed to an increase in public awareness about rowing, the PRF, and its activities by running a series of articles in the newspaper on these subjects.

The State Information Service hosted the first-ever sport press conference at its International Press Centre to announce the First Palestinian Indoor Rowing Championship and the UNDP/PAPP-PRF partnership for national development efforts.
